Honorary Professor, ANU Crawford School of Public Policy

Professor Christopher Findlay is Honorary Professor in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. He was previously Executive Dean of the Faculty of the Professions at the University of Adelaide.   Earlier positions include Professor of Economics in the Asia Pacific School of Economics and Government at the Australian National University (ANU) (1999 - 2005) and Head of the School of Economics at the University of Adelaide (2005 – 2011).    He was from 2019 to 2025 part-time Commissioner of the South Australian Productivity Commission.  Findlay’s research interests include Australia’s economic relationships with Asia, especially in the services sector.  His focus has been on the benefits of and the drivers of economic integration across economies, especially in the Asia Pacific region.  He has also worked on the design of programs of structural reform.
