Dr Marina Yue Zhang is an Associate Professor at the Australia China Relations Institute (UTS:ACRI) at University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Her research sits at the intersection of technology, innovation and geopolitics — examining how China’s innovation ecosystem, emerging technologies (such as semiconductors, biopharmaceuticals and clean-energy manufacturing) and global value chains are reshaping economic and strategic dynamics. She holds a bachelor’s in biological sciences from Peking University, an MBA and a PhD from the Australian National University.
